The City of Zadar is not only known for its historical and cultural monuments but also for its amply supplied vegetable and fish markets on the peninsula (a part of the old city). The market is daily supplied with fresh fruit and vegetables from the rich hinterland of “Ravni Kotari”, the fruitful waters of Lake Vrana and the islands of Ugljan and Pasman. Judged by the variety of goods on offer, it is one of the largest markets in Croatia. And among others don’t miss the sea organ which is unique in the world.

Nin a small town only 14 km far from Zadar has a very rich and tumultuous history and his location is also very interesting. The heart of Nin is his historical center on an islet with only 500 m diameter. Nin is located in a lagoon on the eastern part of the Adriatic sea, surrounded by natural sandy beaches and linked with the mainland by two stone bridges (16th century). A continuity of life on the area of Nin appears 10000 years ago, according to the historians. Nin is today historical and tourist town which looks for his developing in valorization of historical heritage. During the last years many monuments were restored and because of the great role of Nin in the Croatian history many groups of tourists from Croatia and Europe visit it every day. They come especially to visit two symbols of the old town: the church of Holy Cross from the 9th century called “the smallest cathedral in the world” and the coronation church.

Biograd

As a Croatian city, it was renowned in the 10th and 12th centuries when the Croat Hungarian King Coleman was crowned there. Biograd is nowadays a typical tourist town, which owing to its favourable position in the middle of the Pasman channel has evolved into an important nautical centre and meeting place of boaters and sailors from all over Europe.

Trogir

Trogir is a town-museum in the very meaning of the word. Lovers of cultural and historical monuments, art, original architecture and nice alleys are given the opportunity in Trogir to learn about the manifold and complex heritage - from the Romanesque yard to the modern interiors. The unique historical core, Radovan's portal, the art collections which have been arousing excitement among visitors and travellers for centuries offer a tourist beauty, personified in the relief of Kairos as an appropriate souvenir. Trogir with concentration of palaces, churches, towers, fortress on a small island in aevery way deserves it's nickname "THE STONE BEAUTY".

Sibenik

As much as , or even more than any other Croatian town , the people of Šibenik provided their belonging to the West European Christian civilization . Building their great cathedral of St. Jakov for a century , they did not even know that it will become an enternal and indestructible symbol of a town , as it was shown by the recent war history . It is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Šibenik has remained the same as it was, the mouth and the spring of historical values ; the mouth of river Krka with pleny of waterfalls in the National Park which is only 10 km far from the town , a hidden port toward the open sea with ecologically preserved group of more than a hundred of islands - Kornati - another National Park , and a historical source and inspiration to the most prominent Croatian writers , sculptors , architects and musicians .

Split

Split is the economic and administrative center of Middle Dalmatia, with about 200,000 inhabitants. Thi site was first settled when, at the end of the third century AD, the Roman Emperor Dioclecianus built his palace here. Many of Split’s historical and cultural buildings can be found within the walls of Diocletian’s Palace. In addition, numerous museums, the National Theatre, and old churches and other archeological sites in the Split region make it an important cultural attraction. Split is a busy port, with an international airport and regular ferry services with the nearby islands, the north and south Adriatic, Italy and Greece. The merchant and passenger ships of the Split shipyards may be encountered in almost all the seas of the world.

Pakaklenica National Park

It is located in Starigrad, northern Dalmatia, at the southern slopes of Velebit mountain, not far from Zadar. It has two canyons: Mala (Small) and Velika (Big) Paklenica. Today there is no water flowing throughout Mala Paklenica. Near the entrance into the Velika Paklenica there is an artificial basement/cave complex that had been built for Josip Broz Tito in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Whether you read about Paklenica or not, the real thing is bound to amaze you. As soon as you enter the park and see the canyon rocks, hear the rustle of life and trees in the silence of virginal nature, you feel at peace. Paklenica has three faces. One is calm and pleasant. The Paklenica Canyon can be reached easily. You can enter the park by car, the road leads up to the first rocks. Second face of Paklenica can be mentioned as the Mountaineering heaven. One of the tourist attractions of Paklenica is the cave of Manita Peć. It is a magnificent natural structure in the belly of a mountain, 570 metres above sea level. The ascent to the cave is hard and long – it is on the sunny side of the mountain – but once you get inside, you will be rewarded for your effort. The lighted and tourist-friendly cave has stalactite and stalagmite cathedrals of stone rising all around you. As it’s third face Paklenica is famous for climbing. So many climbers come from all over the world with their ropes and equipment, and climb the rocks.

The Plitvice See

The natural attributes of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, uniqueness and sensibiliry of that phenomenon, deserve a full attention of our visitors. Recreational aspect of stay and the amazement with beauty of the area that conquers by its natural diversity and harmony of shapes and colours in any of the seasons, is based on many mutually conditioned natural characteristics.

That is a specific geological and hydrogeological phenomenon of karst. The series of 16 bigger and a few smaller lakes, gradually lined up, separated by travertine barriers for which the period of the last ten thousand years was crucial, and which were ruled by ecological relations similar to those of today - suitable for travertine depositing and for the origin of the lakes - are the basic phenomenon of the National Park.

The Krka National Park

Krka National Park shows the Croatian karst at its best. Karst environments are formed by the dissolving action of carbon dioxide and water on carbonate rock, which in Krka’s case is limestone. Over thousands of years this process has resulted in the formation of a series of distinctive geomorphological features, with the Krka river fighting its way through a long gorge and plunging over rapids. Karst landscapes also feature highly developed subterranean drainage systems, making them ideal territory for those interested in exploring potholes and caves. The area is rich in Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean flora and fauna. The surrounding forest is mixed, with hornbeam, cypress, poplar, oak and willow represented, while over 200 bird species are found, including golden eagles, and the river is home to Visovac trout and Adriatic salmon.

Krka National Park follows the line of the Krka river, from its source in the foothills of the Dinaric mountains on its short journey through the dramatic karst landscape to its finish in the Adriatic. The river flows through a limestone gorge, dropping over 220m in 50km, with eight sets of rapids. Only two falls – Skradinski buk and Roski slap – are in the park itself, although the former is the most impressive of all with a 46m drop over seventeen limestone steps.

The Kornat National park

The Kornati archipelago consists of 140 islands, islets and cliffs, with 89 of them declared a National Park because of its natural beauty due to its numerous coves and crystal clear blue waters. It spreads over a surface of 220m2 and declared a national park in 1980 due to its unique shape and beauty. There are no permanent residents of the islands and most of the area belongs to the people of Murter island who come to tend the olive groves, the vineyards and orchards. They have cottages there, which nowdays mostly are offered as tourist accommodation units, specialized for robinson style holidays (self cattering houses with no electic power and running water).

On Kornati there are preserved traces of the past, the oldest archaeological findings of ruins from an Illyric village, stone graves and grave mounds. In the National Park Kornati there are around 30 piers and about 20 places where guests can try wonderful seafood and traditional cuisine.
